Example workflow

For a scanned application or an email attachment, start with Medium and compare the downloaded PDF with your original. Low optimises PDF streams without reducing image detail; Medium targets 225 DPI with JPEG quality 90; High targets 120 DPI with JPEG quality 80. A smaller result is not guaranteed for every PDF.

Output checks and limits

Check small text, photographs and diagrams at a readable zoom. The quality guard samples pages; it cannot certify every page. Fillable forms use the lossless path and signed documents are kept unchanged. Keep your original, especially for print, records or signatures.
